ABOUT

Since Discedo: Minato has become a dedicated member of the police force, and devotes most of his time to helping the new arrivals. He has acquired a two bedroom apartment in the Latimir building, which he shares with Kadaj and Junpei Iori.

Minato has since become the head of the Police Force. He still devotes his time to helping others, but pushes himself too much in his work. The apartment he once shared with his friends was destroyed in an earthquake and Minato is currently living out of the Police Station.

RELATIONSHIPS (under construction)

Iori Junpei: Minato's best friend and one of three friends in Discedo Minato has from back home. Unfortunately, Junpei is from an earlier point in their time line than Minato, so he doesn't know him as well as Minato knows him. Junpei is very self-conscious and this often leads to him picking at or ridiculing Minato about various things out of jealousy, but nevertheless, they'll always be best friends, and he loves him like a brother. He trusts Junpei with his life, and feels that Junpei has the heart of a true leader, but he needs to stop seeking the glory in order to achieve it. He's just waiting to find the right time, and the right words, to encourage him. Junpei disappeared from Discedo after a bout of depression that lasted several months.

~~Sanada Akihiko:~~ Second friend from home, Akihiko and Junpei came from the same time. He cares a lot for Akihiko, especially since he's come to the city. He worries for him, because of his inability to fully adjust to life in Discedo, and does his best to make sure he does well whenever he can. He wants to be closer friends with Akihiko, but Junpei seems to get in the way for some reason... Akihiko was removed from the city on Valentine's day. He returned a short time later with no memory of ever having been in the city the first time. He seems to be doing much better the second time around...

Kadaj: In the beginning, he had little to no respect for Kadaj and his cocky attitude, but it didn't take long for Minato to do as he always did and accept Kadaj for who he is, and sooner than later they became close friends over the communicators. When they met in person, Minato felt something overwhelming that he did not understand. Things went on that way and he spent most of his time with Shinji and Kadaj, his best friends who seemed to be carrying on a sort of unspoken relationship. Despite their clashing lifestyles- the hero and the villain- Minato was aware that Kadaj has many problems, seemed lonely, and had many people against him. All of these things made Minato see Kadaj as someone for him to care for and protect, and he took that role.

As things seemed to fall apart between Kadaj and Shinji, Minato remained loyal and protective of Kadaj and made sure to always be there for him. He often argued with Shinji about Kadaj's well being. When he was in trouble, sad, or hurt, Minato tried his best to come through for him, harbouring something important: A long kept secret that Minato was in love with Kadaj. ~~He has since admitted to him that he has feelings for him (and shared a kiss) but not the full extent of those feelings.~~ 01/03/09- Minato and Kadaj are now together.

Aragaki Shinjiro: Shinji is the third friend Minato has from home. Together they fought the Shadows along with their other friends, though he and Shinji were never particularly close. SEES drew them together instinctively (as danger tends to do) but since they have been in Discedo, their relationship has been allowed to grow without provocation. Minato and Shinji have grown apart. Most of this may be due to Minato's own feelings, but he has witnessed Shinji's closeness to others, more than to himself and knows when to step down.

Always fighting. Their friendship is falling apart.
Shinji is drifting into becoming a mere acquaintance with which he shares some unfortunate, important memories. Shinji seems to view Minato as a nag and a burden rather than a friend and even referred to him as "a third wheel". This may end up being just the way Minato perceives it, but Shinji often gives him reason after reason to feel this way.
The friendship has since been repaired.

~~Asano Keigo:~~ The Boy Downstairs. Minato first spoke to Keigo when a friend of his disappeared from the city. He'd spoken to him asking if for the communicator of the one who left, but tumbled into a kind conversation. He next spoke to him when Keigo fell very ill, and he went downstairs to visit him. They have since become close friends- sneaking out as often as possible to eat, listen to Minato's MP3 player, or just talk and goof around.

When a mysterious mist forced everyone in the city to tell only truth or only lies, Minato admitted that he had a crush on Keigo, Keigo said the same. However he fully respects the relationship he and Ichigo have with one another. He felt he was in love with the boy, but ~~this has since died back down into a bit of a crush~~ his feelings are now focused completely on someone else..Both Ichigo and Keigo have vanished from the city and left Minato their goldfish, Clint Eastwood.

Clint Eastwood: Ichigo's goldfish. Ichigo obtained him as a gift, and Minato obtained him when Keigo and Ichigo disappeared and he found the fish in a bowl in their vacant apartment. He promised them he would take care of Clint, and now he lives on a nightstand between the beds in Minato's room.

Ritona Leeron: Minato's most bizarre friend by far. Leeron is openly gay, perverted, flirtatious, horny- the whole nine yards. When Leeron arrived, Minato felt it was his duty as an officer to guide him to safety and fill him in on the city and his new situation. At first he was oblivious to all his come ons and flirting, but by the time it dawned on him, he didn't mind. Leeron has a tendency to invade Minato's personal space, glomping, groping, kissing on and generally doing what other people would consider crossing the line. Although Minato is a very patient tolerant person, he's often asked how he manages to put up with Leeron. Truth be told he thinks Leeron is very funny and makes good company. (When he isn't groping him.) Leeron disappeared from the city.

Haruno Sakura: A girl that Shinjiro asked Minato to protect during a dangerous situation. He blamed himself for her death when he failed to do so- she was murdered by Walter. After it was over, he continued to speak with her and developed a friendship with her. Strong, somewhat cold, and serious Minato was intimidated from time to time, but her strong personality and will made Minato love her. More recently, she seems to open up to him more, smiling and laughing more than she used to.

The day he wanted to give her her Christmas gift, she disappeared from the city. However, since the developing situation with Kadaj, Minato seems to not take that kind of interest in anyone else anymore. She has since returned.

Nill: A sweet, very close friend that Minato can confide in. Upon his arrival in Discedo, Minato initially did not use the communicator for several days. When he finally did, Nill was one of the few people who answered him, with a text message. Her sweetness and reassuring messages continued from then on as Minato wandered the streets in search of food, water, and shelter and he found himself sending her long, sweet “e-mails” in turn. While he does not talk much, he often opens up and chatters on with Nill. He currently lives down the hall from her in Latimir apartments.

~~Ocelot:~~Minato doesn’t know Ocelot very well yet, but he likes his attitude and wants to become better friends with him. Minato feels a particular closeness to those who responded to him when he needed help, and Ocelot provided him with a lot of information. When he found out that Ocelot was still without shelter since before his own arrival, Minato has been trying to get Ocelot to warm up to him enough to accept his help and perhaps stay in his apartment. At the moment they seem to be no more than hunting buddies. He is currently unaware of his disappearance, as they scarcely spoke to begin with.

~~Ness:~~ A psychic boy who told Minato that he was part of a group that rescued new arrivals, giving them food and shelter. They have not spoken since Minato radioed for help, when the boy brought him two apples. While Minato has no particular issues with Ness, he feels somewhat bitter that he seemed to vanish on him after offering him shelter.

~~Mochizuki Ryoji:~~ Ryoji is another boy from Minato’s universe. The two of them are bonded in such a way that some might say they are technically the same person, though even that would be inaccurate. Ryoji lived and grew (as Pharos) inside Minato’s body until he became his own teenage boy. Back home, Ryoji seemed to avoid Minato because he knew what havoc he was destined to bring. In Discedo, it seems to have not changed much. Minato and Ryoji talk little to not at all.

Linda: A girl Minato has only spoken to a few times. She seems sweet, but air headed and naïve, leaving Minato to wonder just how many times Linda has been caught by monsters in Discedo. He likes her personality, and despite her being a bit on the dense side, Minato likes talking to her.
